When the Chewies Hit

If you read my post, When the Crunchies Hit, you're already privy to the fact my food cravings generally stem from the texture of the food, rather than the actual taste. And like getting "crunchies," I get the "chewies." When the "chewies" strike, I whip up a single(ish) serving of mock cookie dough. Noms. It never ceases to satisfy the craving, and bonus is actually quite filling without added sugar (depending on the brand of chocolate chips you use).


-3+ tbsp sunflower seed butter (or other nut butter, depending on your taste preference)

-1tbsp coconut flour

-1/2tbsp melted coconut oil

-dash of vanilla (if not using vanilla flavored collagen/protein powder)

-optional: 1 scoop vanilla collagen powder or preferred protein powder (I love the taste of this one by Bean Envy)

-handful of chocolate chips (I like the Enjoy Life brand)

Note: you may need more sunflower seed butter if you add the scoop of collagen/protein powder and a dash more coconut oil


1) Mix ingredients in a bowl, folding in chocolate chips

2) Enjoy!
