There are no grains in this recipe, so I can't call it granola. There are no dried berries or dates in this recipe, so I can't call it raw-nola (and also raw-nola has been used so many times as a grain-free alternative to granola)...nut-nola it is! Because it's basically just nuts. I refer to it as "Nolie." Like, "I'm gonna have a bowl of nolie topped with berries and a splash of macadamia nut milk" or "I'm gonna throw some nolie on top of these warmed berries for an impromptu berry cobbler for one." You get the idea. Really, any nuts can be used in this recipe and in these ratios. Experiment for taste and find out what works best for you. Below is just my favorite. -1 cup macadamia nuts
-1/2 cup pecans
-1/4 cup brazil nuts
-1 tsp vanilla extract
-2 tbsp melted coconut oil
-1/2 cup shredded coconut
-1-2 tbsp honey
-dash of cinnamon
-dash of nutmeg
+optional: 1-2 tbsp cacao powder
1) Preheat oven to 350F
2) Put all ingredients in a food processor and blitz until well combined.
3) Scoop out and spread evenly on a baking sheet
4) Bake until golden brown, checking and stirring at 10min intervals
