For the I.S.E (Indecisive Snack Eater)

I am a snacker through and through. Ain't nobody gonna change that about me. As a conscientious foodie, I am aware of what I shovel into my face; ensuring that my snacks are filling, provide steady energy, don't leave me hangry, and most importantly are nom-worthy. I live by the phrase "empty snacks=empty knacks." Yes, I just made that up. It means that "empty snacks" will leave you unable to do anything, including what you've got a "knack" for. Empty snacks not filling you up?--> You're thinking you want more snacks. Empty snacks leaving you sluggish and energy-drained--> You're having trouble focusing. Get it? But mostly because it rhymes. These balls are the solution to the world's snack induced travesties. Customize them to fit your snack taste bud preference.


Elements

-1 cup pitted dates

-1/4 cup nut butter (I use unsweetened sunflower seed butter)

-2 tbsp flaxseed

-2 tsp nutmeg

-1 tbsp melted coconut oil

-1 tsp cinnamon

-1/2 cup nuts of your choice (I use a blend of macadamia nuts, pecans, and walnuts)

-Splash of vanilla


Some ideas to add in: a pinch of unsweetened coconut shreds, dried fruit, chocolate chips, carrot peels (carrot cake balls anyone?)


Method

1) Blitz all ingredients in a food processor until an even consistency is reached

2) Scoop out dough and roll into balls. Refrigerate to firm up.

3) Store in fridge
